    The journal has archived all the back issues on this site. The site now provides full text of all the articles from the volume 1, issue 1 published in the year 1995. The entire archive of this open access journal is also searchable and linked from the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

January 2007

    The editorial board of the Saudi Journal of Gastroenterology is pleased to announce the change in the frequency of the journal. Beginning with 2007, the journal will be published four times in a year. The issues would now be released in January, April, July and October.

October 2006

The Saudi Journal of Gastroenterology is pleased to announce the launch of its new website. The features of the site are:

• SJG goes open access, Saudi Journal of Gastroenterology will provide immediate unrestricted access to its full text articles. The Journal will not charge its authors any kind of submission or publication fee.
• Direct link to PubMed abstracts of published by authors from left hand side navigation links (Resource Links) on the full text article pages.
• Free full text availability of articles in HTML as well as PDF
• Direct link to abstracts and full text from the cited references
• Link from text of articles to various databases and search engines
• Facility to submit comments on articles
• Email notifications on new issue release
• Statistics of articles download and visits
